Ban boxing

I have been reading the many laudatory articles about Muhammad Ali. He was truly an amazing man. But I have read nothing about boxing, which led to the terrible illness that debilitated him.

Why is boxing considered a sport? Is there any other sport in which the sole criterion for success is rendering your opponent half dead with life-threatening brain injuries?

We worry about the concussions caused by football, but nothing is said about this brutal sport. There is more than enough evidence to ban boxing completely.

Muhammad Ali’s death should be a call to arms.
