Bridge or tunnel?

Re the May 29 article Built to bring 2 sides together, Brickell Bridge divides Miami: Many of us remember the old bridge with its lower clearance — that’s what we thought was causing the surrounding traffic problems.

Funny thing is, however, when the old bridge was demolished and before the new bridge was opened, there were no traffic problems!

The traffic problems began anew when the new bridge opened. And now they are much worse.

The solution is simple: There should be no bridge except one for pedestrians and bicyclists.

Then, once we see the traffic results, we can start talking about whether or not there should be a tunnel.
