Casino fairness

Your May 23 Business Monday cover story, A Hard Rock success story, regarding its history of successful endeavors, should have been more objective.

In the interest of capitalism and fair competition, Florida and Gov. Rick Scott should deny a new exclusive compact with the Seminole Tribe with respect to casino table games. The Seminoles should not be allowed to thrive while permitting a slow death of the rest of the parimutuel industry and other existing gaming facilities.

Fair and open competition is good for the workers in the industry, casino patrons and, more important, to the values that our nation was built upon.
