Turkey Point canals
Why doesn’t FPL build a cooling tower at Turkey Point and shut down those canals before they destroy our water supply?
It can mount emergency generators 100 feet up on the tower. In case of hurricane tidal-surge floods, it would prevent a Fukushima-style meltdown requiring a permanent evacuation of everyone living from Fort Lauderdale to Key Largo.
Instead of fighting rooftop solar, FPL should be building it. How can they propose building more nuclear plants when it can’t even cool existing units?
