For those interested in understanding why the Cuban embargo policy has failed miserably for over 50 years, look no further than the Jan. 16 picture with the article, Don’t book your vacation to Cuba yet.
It shows a line of people waiting at Miami International Airport to check in bags of goods to be taken to Cuba.
Some will be given to family members; however, much of this will be sold on the Cuban black market. So when I hear our Cuban-American senators and congressmen attack our president for his attempt at loosening restrictions between the U.S. and Cuba, I can’t help but wonder why they haven't clamped down on the activity being shown in this picture?
