Hot pets
I veterinarian Dr. Patty Khuly for her April 24 article, Tips to keep dogs cool in the summer. It is a shame that many pet owners are not aware of these hot-weather hazards. As a result, animals needlessly suffer the consequences of sunburn, skin cancer and pad burns from being walked on hot pavement.
I recommend that every dog owner read this article. If this letter saves one animal from the debilitating and painful consequences to which Dr. Khuly refers, it will be well worth it.
