Uber, Lyft needed

The suburbs need Uber and Lyft. For years, we’ve been second-class citizens when it comes to reliable and affordable transport.

Call a taxi? Count on waiting nearly an hour and $60 ride to Miami International Airport.

Metrorail? Rarely goes where we’re going and not a pleasant walk in 90-degree or rainy weather.

Metrobus? One bus, a two-mile walk and still no guarantee my children would get to school on time or dry.

And the most important reason? Have MADD do the simple math. Haven’t the number of drunk drivers on our roads decreased?
