Miami open in peril
Congratulations to Bruce Matheson. I hope he’s happy.
His quixotic quest to rid Key Biscayne of the devil incarnate — the Miami Open — is over. When the dust settles, I hope he looks in the rear-view mirror and sees what he has saved the people of South Florida from. Because of his misguided grudge, he’s allowing one of our crown jewels to be plucked away by the highest bidder.
Maybe then he can long for the days when that land can revert to being a landfill.
I bet I’m speaking for all South Floridians when I say that I can’t wait to have the opportunity to have public access to the county dump.
