Useless car inspections

I remember the annual required vehicle inspections as an annoying waste of time and public money. Virtually no collisions are caused by mechanical failures, especially whatever would be discovered by the vehicle inspections.

Most accidents are caused by operator error, which includes excessive speed, inattention, poor judgment, impaired or drowsy drivers, cell-phone distraction or driver inexperience. .

The inspection was a great inconvenience to drivers, and public money spent could be better used for some other need such, as driver ed in schools, which would, for sure, prevent some accidents.
