In response to an invitation from the Vatican and subsequent visit with Pope Francis, Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Bernie Sanders traveled to Rome to speak before many dignitaries eager to hear his views on issues that many nations are confronting. The enthusiasm for Sanders’ message of inequality and greed, the hazards of climate change and myriad other issues resonated with the audience.
In sharp contrast, Hillary Clinton went to a fundraiser in Los Angeles where $353,400 could get you two seats at the table next to actor George Clooney at his mansion. Where are the values, and who is winning the trust of the American people?
