A changing Grove

The April 16 article on the latest Coconut Grove restaurants said that, “Grovites are very protective of their community.” That’s true, however, it went on to say that they voted to replace the beloved Scotty’s Landing with an new, upscale restaurant.

We did not. There was an election, and most Coconut Grove voters rejected the Grove Bay proposal to tear down and replace Scotty’s. Unfortunately, the vote was citywide. When the non-Grove votes were included, the Grove Bay developers came out ahead.
