Cuba travel policy

I have been cautiously optimistic that the recent engagement with Cuba will lead to slow, positive changes in Cuba and in improved relationships with exiles.

However, it is disheartening and alarming that Micky Arison and Carnival Corp. would agree to such a discriminatory policy against Cuban-born American citizens that will not allow them to board their ships traveling to Cuba.

This is an outright discrimination that should not be condoned by any United States company.

You would never hear of Carnival or another U.S. company doing this if it involved black Americans or Jewish Americans to vacation on their ships. When are we going to stand up for basic principles over profits?

Stating that the policy is from Cuba and not them is like following orders from an abusive, paranoid, manipulative government. I guess that is OK with Carnival.

Miami
