No say on Cuba

The long refusal of Miami-Dade Republican Reps. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen and Mario Diaz-Balart and Sen. Marco Rubio to dialogue with the two Cuban dictators was valiant, if ultimately, ineffective.

That for the last eight years they’ve employed the same strategy against a democratically elected U.S. president is mere childish truculence.

They now complain that they’ve been left out of the conversation about our new relations with Cuba. If they now have “zero input on the issue on which some of them built their political careers,” perhaps they should expand their issues. I also suggest they learn what it means to have a conversation.
