Obama’s comments
Re the April 11 article Obama says ‘no political influence’ in Clinton probe: President Obama’s penchant for commenting on pending criminal investigations is puzzling and infuriating.
As a lawyer and president, he should know to keep his mouth shut regarding any pending investigation, particularly a federal one like the FBI email investigation. He’s the head of the executive branch.
Unless the president has inappropriately accessed the FBI investigative file, he has no way of knowing what he is speaking about. And, if he has accessed that file, he has committed a Nixon era type offense. His comment was, at best, obstructive.
