Faithful companions

I disagree with letter writer Cesar Sastre who says that, “It is inappropriate to memorialize a dog in the same page dedicated to the human beings.”

To those who memorialize their pets, these loving, faithful companions, know that they are equal to any human relation. This should be respected, and no distinctions should be made based on someone’s idea that it is offensive or disrespectful to equate humans to animals.

I, and many others, do not subscribe to the theory that humans are superior to the rest of the sentient beings on this planet.
