Restless Cubans
The die-hard conservatives are pointing to the recent arrests of protesters in Cuba as proof of why we must continue the embargo, while ignoring the reasons for those arrests.
President Obama’s recent trip there, including his inspirational speech, as well as the Rolling Stones concert, have given the Cuban people a taste of the freedoms and prosperity that they have been denied, and they are getting restless, while their government is getting nervous.
Obama accomplished more in three days than the past 55 years of the embargo.
We need to maintain the momentum and open things up there.
