Value of journalists

The current series, The secret shell game, on the use of offshore havens by corrupt politicians and criminals once again demonstrates the need to maintain an independent and financially sound press.

The media bashing by politicians disregards this valuable service of journalists. The public that has abandoned its subscriptions does so at the peril of scofflaws having free hidden rein at the eventual expense of most of us. Keep up your subscriptions and keep on digging up the muck, Miami Herald.

I often disagree with your views, but I am cognizant of your value to an enlightened citizenry.
