Punish the mothers
Donald Trump is catching heat for suggesting that, if abortions were illegal, women who have them should be punished. But this is a perfectly logical position. Indeed, one cannot truly be pro-life unless one accepts this proposition.
The pro-life position is based on the assumption that life begins at conception, and thus a pre-birth life is the moral equivalent of a post-birth life.
But if this is true, if abortion is murder, then abortions should be treated as premeditated murder, and all involved in that procedure — including the mother — should be prosecuted and punished for that offense.
