Sen. Ted Cruz’s statement immediately after the ISIS attacks in Brussels met the standard for mission guidance that a president could give to the National Security Council.
While Donald Trump fell back on old campaign rhetoric pandering to primitives about water-boarding suspected terrorists, Cruz defined a clear vision for a long-overdue National Security mission: “To kill terrorists and execute a coherent campaign to utterly destroy ISIS.”
Cruz has also emphasized the serious degradation of combat readiness to our armed forces caused by the current administration’s irresponsible defense cuts.
Cruz will reverse these cuts to ensure America retains its position as a world leader, and the ability to guarantee our safety at home and abroad.
