America’s Hitler

As a German American. I have been asked for the past 60 years, “How could the Germans elect a racist, hate-mongering carnival barker like Hitler?” I used to answer, “I don’t know, but it could happen anywhere.”

Now I say, “Just put a black wig and mustache on Donald Trump, and you can see it happening right here in America.”

Like Hitler, he appeals to mankind’s lowest common denominators: Ignorance, fear and prejudice.
