Sacrament of marriage

Leonard Pitts’ Jan. 14 column, Grudging O.K. to same-sex unions, unfairly labels anyone who defends God’s definition of marriage between a man and a woman as anti-gay, discriminatory and a bigot.

One of the Ten Commandments admonishes regarding adultery. Changing the divine definition of marriage to include same-sex couples legitimizes sex outside marriage. Same-sex unions are the best way to ensure the relationships, rights and responsibilities of gay people who live together. The sacrament of marriage is for a man and a woman in a committed, natural and sexual union open to the procreation of children.
