Cirque is amazing
I went to see the new Cirque du Soleil show, Toruk — The First Flight, at the AmericanAirlines Arena. Unlike the Miami Herald review, I thought that any perceived deficiencies in plot or action were compensated by the amazing staging.
As I watched the tree of souls being killed off by a molten lava flow, I couldn’t help but think how lucky that the tree was only being threatened by a natural disaster. The tree would never have survived if a South Florida developer had coveted the land.
