Campaign promises
Today, I think of myself as an experienced retiree. It took me many years of listening to promises by politicians to learn that they all bite off more than they can chew. The more ridiculous they sound, the less they accomplish.
I started with very little at a time when options weren’t as plentiful as the present. Donald Trump promises jobs, and Bernie Sanders promises free college for everyone. All of this is irrelevant if young children from all types of families don’t get a good start.
