Belong to a party
In response to letter writer Cesar Sastre and the angst of other independent voters who are barred from the primaries.
The primaries are a process in the selection of each party’s candidate. In Florida, it is the parties alone who nominate the candidate, and it has been this way forever. If you wish to vote in the primaries, register with a party and you’ll get your chance. You can always vote for another party’s candidate in November.
