On Primary Tuesday, I was at the Hoke Library in Jensen Beach, eager to cast my vote in the primary. What an irritating surprise to discover that…I can’t vote for either party!
It’s a surprise to discover that because in Michigan I registered as an Independent I’m still earmarked as an Independent.” In Florida, I can’t vote for either party Democrat or Republican. I’m surprised. And very angry.
After (politely) grilling the voting volunteer, I learn that this feature results from a Florida statute. I’m still fuming as I leave the library and am wondering what logical reason a Florida politician would have for crafting this law.
