Letters to the Editor

I’m guilty, too

I voted for Bill Clinton twice, thus I’m part of the electorate responsible for our failed political system.

For instance, in the 1992 through 2004 elections, we had much better candidates on the left and right.

I’m referring to Ralph Nader, Ross Perot and Pat Buchanan.

Voter turnout in those four elections didn’t exceed 57 percent of the people in voting age.

Now, millions of us realize that we need a drastic change, that we must fight the establishment. Yet we don’t have viable candidates of the caliber of Nader, Perot and Buchanan.

How could they fund their campaigns now? My only advice, besides voting: Become informed on domestic and foreign affairs, and don’t forget Congress.
