Hall of Famer Ryan
I was thrilled to read the Feb. 26 article Hall of Fame calls for coaches Ryan, Pelegri, about the induction of Miami Springs wrestling coach Dave Ryan into the National Wrestling Hall of Fame.
Having officiated the sport for more than 30 years in Miami-Dade and Broward counties, I consider Coach Ryan a true gentleman and outstanding mentor to the young. Aside from the champions he’s coached, there are many young men living in our community with greater personal character and improved values, influenced from their time with Coach Ryan. Thank you for recognizing this leader.
