Diaper-wearing cops
The Jan. 8 article Call of doody: Traffic cops to wear diapers, about preparations for Pope Francis’ visit to the Philippines, is the funniest I’ve ever read in the Herald.
What will this disposable-diaper requirement do to Pope Francis’ reputation? I can’t imagine security guards checking to see if everyone is properly attired for this notable occasion.
The sensible solution is to rent portable johns for Pope Francis’ visit. Give the pope the respect he deserves. We don’t want him to be called “Poop Francis” by mistake.
