Selling Socialism
George Bernard Shaw said: “A government that robs Peter to pay Paul can always depend on the support of Paul but not of Peter’s.”
Since the Pauls outnumber the Peters 10 to 1, you can see the ease by which socialism can be sold.
But once you have bought this used car, there comes the rub: It doesn’t work.
But that doesn’t bother socialists, as they are not fond of working.
