It is hard to believe that the United States is still using an 18th-century system to elect our president.
Voters are given ballots listing candidates no longer running for office. This leads to confusion and inaccurate results. Primary elections should be eliminated altogether. All citizens of every party should vote on the same day.
If tax returns can be filed electronically, why can’t we do the same in the electoral process? Results would definitely be more accurate and faster.
We’ve been highly entertained during this presidential election season, but the position in question deserves a dignified process.
