Stormy cruise
Often we do not learn from history.
The cargo ship El Faro sailed into hurricane weather on Oct. 1, 2015, and the crew of 33 perished in the Bahamas along with ship and cargo.
Last week, Royal Caribbean’s Anthem of the Seas sailed into a similar forecast storm.
The ship sustained great damage, but fortunately all passengers and crew survived.
Do the captains have safety in mind as a priority or scheduling and monetary concerns?
