Injustice is made even worse when the ruling class takes advantage of those they lord over. Such is the case with parking in Miami.
By limiting drivers to only three hours of parking, bureaucrats force us to leave work throughout the day. Each oversight on our part means we have to pay $18, taken from our pockets and placed into the palms of an already bloated and inefficient government.
It gets worse. Often, the citation is not promptly entered into the system, prohibiting the ability to pay online. The time window to pay might be reduced from 30 days to less than half of that. The $18 parking violation doesn’t incur a standard late fee, but an obscene $27 additional fee.
When will these shameful practices change in Miami?
