Feds always here
The Feb. 7 editorial, Is Rainey now the victim of a cover-up?, laments: “The U.S. Department of Justice is reportedly investigating the death of Mr. Rainey and other possible abuses at the jail. It’s about time someone did, because local officials, shamefully, have done little to nothing.”
Is it just me? Or is it a fact that the federal government seems to be on assignment here in South Florida, 24/7, actively engaged in investigating all kinds of fraud, drug trafficking, criminal justice, corruption and criminal activity?
How can all of this crime take place right under the noses of local and state law-enforcement agencies unnoticed or, maybe more appropriately, intentionally ignored and covered up?
