Costly rental-car fees
Re the Feb. 7 article Florida Legislature refuses to cap rental car toll charges: Republicans in the Florida Legislature may be pro-business in refusing to limit the fees rental-car companies can charge to drivers for service charges and tolls. But what about that little business known as tourism?
By penalizing tourists renting cars with exorbitant fees, we are damaging the industry, not to mention leaving a bad taste in the mouths of those who visit, and spend money, in our state.
How shortsighted of the constantly incompetent Florida Legislature.
