Public-school stars
Sometimes we need to be reminded of the outstanding job Miami-Dade County Public Schools is doing in educating students for their future and ours.
Every time I turn on the television, two young men come to mind.
One is Chuck Todd a political moderator for MSNBC, who graduated from Miami Killian, and the other is presidential hopeful Marco Rubio, a graduate of South Miami Senior High
Not only should they be congratulated for their efforts and accomplishments, congratulations should go, too, to the many principals, teachers, and school personnel involved in helping to influence them to achieve their goals.
