Save our planet

Save our planet

The Feb. 2 article Corps says disease, not dredging, hurt coral reports that the Corps says that the “catastrophic” outbreak of disease, and not mud churned by the $205-million deep-dredging at the port of Miami, killed the coral in Government Cut.

It seems to me that all the laws specifically designed to protect humans first, before corporations, were 100 percent in compliance until the arrival of a “super human being” that trumps ordinary human beings was invented. The Supreme Court took on some God-like qualities back in 2010 by creating a life for corporations with Citizens United. These people’s replacements immediately started fudging with the people’s protections using their K Street lobbyist buddies.

Know this: The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers is a middle man with a fancy title designed to make a profit and is seriously clumsy at that, just like Halliburton, the fracking champion. Do we want these super humans destroying the planet for profit?
