No one is safe

The acute crisis in Miami-Dade County, where we read almost daily of shootouts, killing or maiming innocent people, requires drastic action to protect the residents of our community.

What is being done to deal with this scourge? Elected officials and public-safety officers have to deal with this continuous calamity.

If some of our citizens are not safe in their homes, streets, parks and businesses, none of us are safe.
