Jewish legislators omitted

The Jan. 6 article New Congress is most diverse ever is most disturbing and a slap in the face to every Jew in America.

It addresses diversity in our Congress and describes many ethnic groups. It even details sub-groups of Christians.

I have no figures on Muslims, Buddhists and followers of many other religions; however, this article on the subject of diversity includes women, African Americans, Asian American/Pacific Islanders and Hispanic lawmakers, but flagrantly omits any reference to Judaism as the religion of so many public servants in the Senate and House.

Unfortunately, Jews have often been the victims of exclusion. There may be other factors involved in this omission, but in an article based on diversity, ignoring serving Jewish Americans is, at the very least, insensitive.
