What’s pádel?

Re the Jan 24 article, City might build courts for pádel, a racquet sport: Historic paddle ball courts popular with Miami Beach residents must be demolished to introduce pádel, a racquet game that Mayor Philip Levine thinks will be the next big thing like soccer.

Only his pals play this new sport. And Miami Beach residents must pay for fancy courts they don’t want that will be in Flamingo Park just across from his headquarters on Alton Road. Will the other Miami Beach commissioners let him pull off this brazen elitist move?
