Consulate security

The fatuous opposition to the opening of a Cuban consulate here reflects the same old shoot-self-in-the-foot position that has plagued this country for years.

And the logic — that somehow we can’t manage security risks — sounds a lot like submission to the kind of lawlessness that we see now from anti-government activists in Oregon and elsewhere.
