Ongoing land grab?

In the Jan. 21 newspaper there was an article, Israeli officials approve West Bank land expropriation, that mentioned that Israel has expropriated another 370 acres of land in the West Bank. A spokesman for the State Department has condemned the move as another block to the two-state solution for peace between Israelis and Palestininians.

This is part of an ongoing land grab, which we seem reluctant to criticize. There are certain facts with which we need to deal. In the first half of 2015, the number of completed units in the occupied territories increased by 54.8 percent over the same period in 2014.

There are now 650,000 Jewish settlers in the occupied territories. Israel destroyed or dismantled 539 Palestinian homes in the occupied West Bank and displaced 742 people in 2015. Is it any wonder there is backlash from the Palestinians? We need to do more than criticize.
