MLK Riders
Every station covered the MLK riders. I can understand that people were in danger, but they were not the ones shown on television. I’m appalled at the media’s coverage of this insult to the residents of Miami-Dade and Broward counties. More publicity will only encourage it for next year.
Law enforcement, both local and state, indicated that there was nothing that could be done to stop it. I counted numerous ATVs, which are not street-approved vehicles, as well as those popping wheelies. Arrests, granted, would not get all, but enough could be arrested by roadblocks to say enough is enough and these violations are not permitted.
