Stricter laws

I applaud the actions of the Miami Beach Commission to approve stricter campaign regulations, including restrictive campaign-finance laws.

Unfortunately, we are No. 1 in public corruption in the United States. Obviously, it isn’t something to be proud of in any way. I hope that these actions, and the recent actions of the Miami-Dade County Commission, will send a message to businesses that we are serious about leveling the playing field for all and to reconsider doing business in South Florida.

Public corruption is a cancer on our society, and we must all take actions to remove it.
