Traffic daredevils
As an everyday motorist on all of our main expressways at all times of the day, I’d like to know if the Florida Highway Patrol’s finest are prohibited from chasing and ticketing the daredevil motorists and cyclists who haunt the rest of us who honor the legal speed limit. They pass us going, perhaps, 30 miles faster than the speed limit.
I need two hands to count the number of times in a week these careless thrillseekers have almost sideswiped me into the concrete barrier.
Now that the Palmetto Expressway and Interstate 95 are slated for more major improvements, it can only become that much more harrowing.
Can FHP troopers maybe turn up the heat a little higher on these dangerous drivers?
