Letters to the Editor

Obama can’t win

In his last State of the Union address, President Obama’s gallant gesture was to regret that “divisions have become greater in the country during his presidency.”

In his letter to the editor, Carl Manzelli’s response was that, “As our leader, he should have made a better effort to work with all the parties and that the president continued to berate Republicans.”

Those with a clearer and fairer vision of the issues can assure Manzelli that the only way President Obama could have succeeded at working with those of his party would have been (1) if Obama had been born white and (2) if he were a Republican.
