President’s failure
In his final State of the Union Address, President Obama said his biggest regret was that “the rancor and suspicion among political parties has gotten worse.”
Isn’t he the nation’s leader? Shouldn’t the most powerful man in the world have made a better effort to unite and work with all parties?
Even in his speech, he continued to berate Republicans and the party’s candidates. Polls show Americans more apprehensive and divided politically, economically and racially than ever before. The president who campaigned on a theme of hope and change didn’t do his job of bringing the country closer together. He bears the blame for this failure.
