Dog safe and sound
I was heading home on Southwest 136th Street near 72 Avenue, recently. A dog, small and very fast, was running down the middle of the street, chased by a distraught, out-of-breath woman. About six cars stopped and blocked the busy street and the occupants, from soccer moms in Range Rovers to delivery men in trucks, joined the chase and finally trapped it, returning it to its panting owner.
I was one of the drivers who stopped. It was great to see the community selflessly assisting the dog and its owner.
