Forest is not a ‘slum’

Miami-Dade County wants to declare the pineland forest near ZooMiami a “slum” so it can build some sort of mega-amusement park. This is a joke, right? A slum is a densely populated, run-down part of a city.

There are plenty of slums in Miami-Dade. An endangered pineland forest is not one of them. County commissioners should be ashamed.
