Military knowledge

I was amazed by the remarks of some of the candidates on the debate main stage in regard to military matters.

Sen. Marco Rubio, seconded by another, said that our bomber force consisted of the “obsolete” 50-year-old B-52, and that new ones were needed.

First of all, we have the F-117, the B-1 and the B-2. Second, the B-52 is still of value to the Air Force. It has been upgraded many times and has been projected to be kept around until 2040.

In any case, these candidates should be better prepared for such discussions and skip the bravado in trying to out-tough Donald Trump.

Anthony Liotti,

Sunny Isles Beach
