Re the Dec. 11 letter Servicing commuters: Let me get this straight — the writer would prefer the police officer to stand out in the intersection, directing congested traffic, so the drivers could get to their destination 20 to 30 minutes earlier, than to pull over the commuter “filled with fury” who cuts across three lanes of U.S. 1?
